apartment construction

Postby Samblue » Mon Jan 31, 2005 10:28 pm

I recently had two new ceilings put in my apartment due to neglected water damage (by landlord). I was told it would not interfere with my living in the aprtment...it did. I had very limited access to all personal belongings, clothing, and my kitchen was blocked off completely without my knowlegde. I had furniture damaged and there was excessive dust. Do I have a situation where I can ask for compensation?

Write the LL a RRR letter stating the damage. Include receipts or estimates for repairs. Also, any receipts for meals (if not able to use kitchen). Take pictures.
LL should run this through his insurance. If refused then sue him.
