What constitutes open harboring of pets?

Postby paganredhead » Thu Feb 10, 2005 6:23 pm

Hi,

Need some help! Have been living in my apt. since summer 2000. Got the apt. thru a realtor who we told we have cats. She gave us a listing that said no pets. Realtor said not to say anything about cats. However, We disclosed the cats on two applications, one that was specifically for the realtor and one that I believe was sent to the landlord. When we got the lease, it states not once but twice "no pets". Realtor told us to not say anything about the cats.

It is rare that the workers from the landlord need to come into our apt. and we have kept cats out of sight. I am tired of living in fear of them finding out and am wondering in a worse case scenario if the fact we disclosed on the applications would cover us? We are in Westchester.
