Housing Part
News
In the event of a transit strike, there will be no defaults taken. If the strike continues beyond January 2, 2006, check back here for more information. Marshals will not execute evictions until the strike is over.

That's the whole official message.
How it works: get to court if you can; if you can't, your case will be adjourned & the court will send you a postcard with a new date on it. Do not miss that date.
If you have an atty, call her: she can arrange a mutually convenient date w/LL's atty.
Check online here for your proceeding's status: https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/caseTrac/jsp/ecourt.htm
click Court Calendar, then Housing.
Note: the calendars are not updated instantly: they seem to be updated once a day (midnight?).
Also: there probably will be updated info on the interactive tel line or there should be another special tel# for announcements (there was post 9/11):

Another valuable Civil Court service is the interactive telephone service, which provides legal and procedural information. It is available at (646) 386-5700 for general Civil and Small Claims matters or (646) 386-5750 for Housing matters. The service is also provided 24 hours and is available in Spanish.
