Ok-
I had an earlier post asking that because my apartment (according to landlord) no longer is stabilized because the J-51 abatement expired- can my landlord charge me what ever they want???
Well just got my lease- not a 'renewal' lease but a whole new lease and they are asking for $1,895.00
They are raising my rent $669.32!!!
I was paying $1,225.68.
On my '03-'04 apartment registration it says my "MTH ADJ" rent is/was $1,225.68
and the legal rent is $1,520.06.
I am sick, sick sick. I didn't think they'd raise it $669.32!!
I sent a request for an administrative determination case to be opened to find out tif the building WAS stabilized before 1989 when the J-51 took place. UGH
Please- any advice is helpful. I am hoping they are willing to speak with me about this to negotiate. I can't afford this (and yes I have a roommate)
