Question.

Postby ig0234 » Thu Jun 19, 2003 2:01 am

I live in brooklyn, in a 56(?) unit building.

I did not recieve a lease offer when my rent stabalized lease expired a year ago. my rent has not gone up since then.

my question is: as soon as the new hikes we are probably getting gouged with go into effect, can

he raise me the new percentage (5.5% instead of 2% for one year?)

I don't know if this makes the question different, but the building was sold a few months back, in march.

so can the new owner raise me the new increase which is higher, or do I ask for a lease this month so i am only raised 2% for a year?

Thanks.
