Well, here's one way to get the rent laws renewed.

Former city councilman Peter Vallone's kid, Peter Vallone, who is now a city councilman (do I hear an echo someplace, has suggested that NYC secede from New York State, and become a state of its own.

While there's like a 0.00% chance of this happening, it did make the morning news a bit more interesting.
