Electrical wiring

Postby John Piper » Tue Jul 02, 2002 12:05 pm

Okay. We just moved into a pre-war building on the upper west side, and there are NO grounded outlets in the entire apartment. The wiring is an absolute mess. We have a lot of electronics and we're going to need all kinds of adapters and whatnot. I'm sure once we're set up there would be enough extension cords to keep an electrician up at night.

Does it fall under my responsibility or my landlord's to fix the wiring? Basically I want to convert them to the three-prong grounded outlets and fix a few of them which have no faceplate and are just open holes in the wall.
