I received a rent history on my apartment recently.
How reliable is the information contained within if it is provided by a landlord who overcharges?

I have a rent history "apt detail". Is there a way to see what actions have occurred on the apartment (past legal actions, DHCR decisions, MCI increases, etc etc)?Originally posted by digerati:
Take a copy of your lease (or sublease) to the DHCR rent administration office in your borough and ask for a certified copy of the 'apartment detail' from 1984 to present. Then you can check the story he's telling you, with the paperwork he filed with the DHCR. (Granted, its very possible he could be lying to the DHCR.)
