Cooking odors

Postby Joe Cohen » Wed Dec 11, 2002 7:11 pm

My upstairs neighbor is a chronic complainer--the stereo is too loud, blah blah blah. Usually I try to accomodate him, but I think this time he has gone too far. Now he is complaining about cooking odors from my apartment.

My girlfriend, who moved in recently, is from Poland and she sometimes cooks some very strong-smelling stuff. I use an exhaust fan to get the fumes out of the apartment, but that doesn't satisfy him. Not sure what else I can do. Can this guy get me in trouble with the landlord? After all, I am just using the stove--not running a restaurant or anything. What should I tell this guy when he complains?
