Anyone Experienced with Noise Issues and the DEP?

Postby Sky » Thu Mar 28, 2024 6:12 pm

Has anyone dealt with the Department of Environmental Protection regarding noise complaints? Would you care to share your feedback on how things went?

There's an HVAC related noise issue impacting me that I'd like to get resolved so it would be useful to get some feedback on what worked - or didn't work - in others' experience.

Thanks!

I dealt with DEP on chimney issues many years ago, not on noise. Chimneys may need to be altered if and when an owner puts in a new boiler. It depends on what fuel is used and how far away from the chimney there's an "open receptor" or window from an adjacent building. Perhaps your chimney violates that regulation and might, in the end mitigate the noise.
