: tell the Judge the above statement and you will get at least 2-4 months to move. unless the Judge is in the LL"s pocket, you should be able to handle this one ok. no matter what, even with a eviction plan, you can buy more time with an order to show cause...the baby situation is your ace in the hole !! use it to your full advantage !!

Thanks, It's pretty upsetting when the landlord plans to serve me when I am not home, he has it served to my wife, who has her hands full with a newborn and a toddler.

One of my first thoughts, was to stop paying my rent, people have told me this is a "common" occurence with private housing, and that I can use this tactic. I even called a non for profit agency, and they even advised me to do this. I'm not sure how to handle this one. Anyone ...??
