Well, maybe we should all start a thread on this Forum where we can rate our own landlords, good, nad, fair, indifferent, etc.
Apparently there is something along this line in the works. But why wait?
Does anybody else have any thoughts about this?
Maybe we could start a thread called: Reference Landlord or Rate Your Landlord or something.
This way, we could even recommend this site to others who are looking for places and have the name of owner/landlord and they won't get burned.
Open to the floor for suggestions....

: good quettion , but in a city like New York, it's designed
: for the landlord.any rights tenants might have had about
: checking the records of landlords or anyone else involved in the
: business of real estate has been eroded, by the dismantling
: of laws for non-layers like The freedom of Information Law
: (FOIL), or the privacy act.Whereby a tenat could check,
: on the landlords to see what public records are available
: about a landlord. now when a tenant calls they say you have the
: right to to file the FOIL request so they can put it right in
: a file for a tenat to collect dust, and if you have any questions
: a tenant can go to court at the cost of thousands of dollars
: to optain the records
