I would ask the landlord what he's doing in your apartment ? Tell him he must give you at least 24 hours notice unless it's an emergency. Tell him that if he goes in there again without notice and no emergency that you will change the top lock and let him get in only with notice and you will leave the top lock unlocked.

Tell him that if it's an emergency he should break the door down.

Put it in a letter so you have proof and certify the letter.
