Hey - I just got off the phone with DHCR and they told me that the ll's have to register the rents, and they have to give a copy of the registration to the tenants. My ll was due to register the rent for my apartment back in July, they never did. Now they want to charge me an increase in my rent, but have not given me a renewal contract. DHCR told me that I don't have to pay any increase until I get that document along with the registration of rent for my apartment.
