I neglected to mention this in my original post but we have not discussed the error with our manager or the management company yet. The management's copy of the lease has the same error on it as we have the carbon copy of the original.

We gave our 30-day notice before we found the error in the lease. That was when we talked to the manager and her supervisor the following day. We are in the process of meeting with a lawyer friend who perhaps can clear the whole thing up.

In another response I recieved from another patron of this board, he said that the fact that we had agreed to a one year lease VERBALLY with the manager before signing the WRITTEN LEASE took precedent over all. In discussing lease terms, no specific dates were ever mentioned.
