I have another question. If I tell my landlord within the law of 30 days that I am moving out, and he has 2 months' deposit. A lawyer told me that if the lease specifically does not say so, then I can use one of the months' deposit to pay for my last month, ergo, i'm moving in 3/1 so I can use half of my deposit for February.

Is this the case? Anyone know of any good sites to actually get some information about this? Also, this is a brownstone with only 3 units
