Accepting Position in PA and live in Orange County, NC

Postby LifterBrade69 » Sat Feb 02, 2008 8:35 pm

Hello everyone,

I have never actually had this happen before. I originally moved to NC from PA for an unpaid graduate internship. I wanted a flexible lease term because when my internship was through I wanted to be able to move again to start a career. Unfortunately, for what I could afford because I would not be able to work a lot of hours to make money while I was doing my internship I could not find the flexible lease term I wanted. I did find a place but it is a 12 month lease, it was all I could find so I did commit to that and live in Orange County, NC. I was wondering if anyone knows the law down here or if it really depends on what the landlord is willing to do to help you out in this circumstance? I really don't want to wait and let this position pass me by. Please if anyone has any legal knowledge of the town of Chapel Hill (which is in Orange County, NC) at all or references that may help me? Please, please send me a private message or something.
