Finding out the legal name of a building owner

Postby sr77 » Tue Aug 28, 2018 7:14 pm

How can you find out for certain who the owner of a building is -- i.e., if you need to know the exact name by which the owner is identified?

Thanks.

Two methods:

1. ACRIS
https://a836-acris.nyc.gov/CP/
This is where property deeds and mortgages are recorded

2. HPD

For most residential buildings

Then you can cross check corporations with the NYS Div of Corps

Thanks for that. Not pretty to look at, clunky to copy-&-paste, but the info's there.
