security deposit refund

Postby zonn » Thu Mar 21, 2002 4:48 pm

I vacated my apartment Dec 31st 2001
and have informed Landlord through fax, mail and phone prior... it's been almost three months now and i hv been getting excuses/lies about my security deposit refund (a month's rent)... in addition to countless attempts to contact the person/persons in charge... how can i seek redress or resolve this situation?

I'm not very particular abt the $$, but more so about them being inefficient / dishonest, the way they manipulated me into believing they are "working on it" ....and would like to find out who can help me (and many others) who have fallen victim to their irresponsible acts?? ....

thank you

Check the CTRC Fact Sheets as well as the Attorney General's Booklet - both on TenantNet

If you've tried to resolved the matter with the landlord and have not gotten your money back, visit the Attorney General's office and file a complaint. They address lease security complaints.
