security deposit

Postby BarbaraValenzuela » Thu Jul 11, 2019 11:44 pm

Our old landlord has sent us a ridiculously long list of damages/ repairs/maintenance he claims we are responsible for and is in process of calculating how much he is going to charge us & deduct from our security deposit (which, it seems, could be the whole lot!)

Most of what he claims is just not true, but we have no evidence to prove otherwise. Is there anything we can do to dispute this, or any measures we could take (in advance of taking him to court)? Any advice on free lawyers advice or other organisations to contact would be enormously appreciated.

Thank you.

Re: security deposit - SPAM Post

Thread locked, User deleted. This post seems innocuous enough, but close examination reveals the user IP was from Vietnam and has been blacklisted for spam.

Moreover, the post itself is an exact duplicate of a post on this forum from 2002.

I most instances we've seen, a spammer posts something like this, then the come back later to put in a link to some product for which they are being paid a few pennies to promote.

We catch most of these, but even a few tend to undermine the integrity of the forum.

Oh, Russia, are you listening?
