Can we withdraw an HP proceeding against LL after filing?

We're tenants in a building w. lots of problems the landlord didn't fix. We are about to file an HP - but mostly b/c we want to break the lease and that would give us cover. Naturally, we think we have a legitimate safety issue to file an HP for. Can we withdraw the HP if we reach an agmt with the landlord to break the lease?
