Old postmark date on petition of nonpayment?

Postby gwenwoo » Mon Mar 23, 2009 10:28 pm

I understand I have 5 days to answer, but what happens when the petition of nonpayment was received 11 calendar days after the date on the petition? Coincidentally, I received the postcard from the clerk's office with a postmark of the same "old" date. Can I count my 5 days from today (when they were received)? I'm hoping to wait til thursday with the long office hours (so as not to miss work). Nothing was received via certified mail - only regular mail - and nothing was delivered to my actual apartment.

thanks for any and all replies!
