**GOING TO COURT TOMORROW -Advice?

Postby mojo22 » Thu Jun 21, 2007 1:00 pm

I am going to housing court tomorrow. A few months ago, I sewed my landlord for a retalitory eviction and won the case. The judge ruled that my landlord (a big company that owns a lot of buildings) pay all of my attorneys fees. Since then, my landlord has told my attorney that they refuse to pay the $6000 in fees.
So I stopped paying my rent under the story that all my $$ went to paying my lawyer.
I told the landlord I was moving out on July 1 - I didnt pay rent for April and May because it totals $4000 and with my security deposit they have, it totals $6000 - a wash.
Now they are taking me to housing court to evict me (when I already told them I am moving out by July 1) and get me to pay the $$.
What is my strategy for tomorrow? Do you think the judge will just let us sort it out? It seems pretty cut and dry and a waste of time.
