Draft a letter; explain why; provide proof such employer letter, plane tickets; suggest several new dates; let them choose which one.
Bring it to T-clinic or Resource Ctr [aka pro se office] at HC for editing & suggestions.
If time is short, FAX it to LL's atty; otherwise use accountable delivery. File copy with court w/ proof of delivery to LL atty. Or follow pro se atty advice.
Note: LL attys routinely grant consent adjs to T-atytys but sledom to unrepresented Ts: they prefer to force a default judgment on them [if they played fair, they'd be practicing law in Civil or Supreme Court, not running a LL collection agency...]
