Does anyone have any horror stories about Adult Protective Services, better known as Adult PERSECUTION Services?

Actually, it's so complicated and convoluted that I don't have the energy to retell it (would be for the one-hundredth time). Apparently no one else seems to have come up against this city agency that has been sued so many times for inappropriate activity, for stepping on involuntary "clients'" civil liberties, acting in cahoots with unscrupulous landlords and compliant housing court judges, etc. What corruption lurks in those Housing Court halls of "justice"! These APS case workers (many of whom appear to have about a second-grade education) continue their antics unstopped and under the guise of helping those who need, and very often don't need, help.

I'm actually applying to become a guardian ad litum. I'd be one of the good guys. Thanks for the forewarning.
