Counter suit ' against landlord

I am wondering if anybody ? knows what should I do ? to counter sue my Landlord for rent abatement. I have an pending hpd court case going on. I am also witholding rent { one month } while my evition case is occurring. Is there anyway to sue my landlord for what I feel is overcharging me rent. besides having me in court to pay while he hasent made repairs since I have live in my apartment well over 13 years.

If your LL sued you for eviction, you can have a defense for rent abatement for the months of unpaid rent and a counterclaim for rent abatement for the months of paid rent.
