Judge Shopping

Postby ameliabedelia » Thu Jun 13, 2002 8:04 am

LL's atty appears to be waiting until the judge's assignments change (after June 14th) before proceeding with case.

Is there any way to know for sure this is what they are doing?

Is there any way to prevent it?

Not sure how the judge assignments work. Are there any pro-landlord judges just coming on then? Any currently sitting judges who won't be sitting next term?

If there is any info on this site as to which judges are considered to be pro-landlord and which are neutral, I'd appreciate it if a link could be provided.

I have searched the archives and couldn't find anything. Thanks.

Sorry can't help, but I usually ask questions like that at Housing Crt. If there is a particular clerk or Pro Se or sometimes even an Atty. you've seen around, that you've struck up a relationship with, it is best to ask them...Bets of Luck!
