Why don't you browse or search this forum. Look for blacklist.

Unless your PAR decision at DHCR was publicized in a legal newsletter or other publication, or the dispute reached Supreme Court in an article 78 proceeding, a broker or prospective landlord would probably not be able to find out about the dispute short of contacting the LL and asking. I believe that DHCR does not provide information on PAR decsions unless the requester already has a docket number for the case. You could call them and ask.

That is, unless, DHCR issued a PAR decision before 1994, where the decision is likely to be in DHCR Decisions at http://tenant.net/.WWW/pars/index.html

While it's possible to glean information from these decisions, they are also available from other sources (for a fee), and I doubt brokers are scrutinizing them. We feel that making decisions available on the net outweighs potential privacy concerns. One of the main concerns of the tenant blacklist is that it is presented ... and interpreted ... as if the tenant were at fault. The decisions are complete, no matter which party won. If they were appealed further in an Article 78 proceeding, the outcome may be the same or different.
