The Task Force's 2006 Annual Training Series starts March 7! The complete schedule appears below.

Spring 2006 Training Series

ALL WORKSHOPS START AT 2 P.M. at the offices of the Legal Aid Society, 49 Thomas Street, in Lower Manhattan.
By train: Take 1/2/3 or A/C/E train to Chambers Street - walk north three blocks. Take the 4/5/6 to Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall - walk west to Church St. and north three blocks.

March 7: An overview of Housing Court process and procedures and a discussion of this year’s housing issues
Presented by Staff and Board members of the City-Wide Task Force on Housing Court

March 14: Repairs & Code Enforcement in NYC - a two-part training:
- Problem Buildings, Problem Landlords: Enforcing the Housing Maintenance Code - The role of HPD’s Litigation Unit and how advocates can effectively use this agencies resources
Presented by Debbie Rand of the city's Department of Housing Preservation and Development
- The Nuts, Bolts and Loose Screws of HP Actions – how to make Housing Court work for your client
Presented by Bob Kalin of Housing Conservation Coordinators

March 21: Housing Court Stipulations: How to negotiate a better deal and avoid common mistakes in stipulations
