: : ....I actually started my research with the Queens page and I have detailed DOB files. But for some reason I cant find whether or not the OCCUPANY counts.
: : ****My very narrow question is whether the rent bar applies to an illegal conversion where currently only 2 of the apartments are rented???
: : Thanks

:
: ..... I realize that in order for a tenant to win, it has to look like you were duped. If the Judge percieves that you had any "red flags", or warnings that the rental arringment might be illegal.....:
:
The "red flags" came about AFTER I moved in. AFTER I moved in I found out someone was living upstairs preventing what I thought was my my access to the roof. My LL wouldnt answer my questions which forced me to go down to the DOB and find out about the illegal conversion

for myself. Since then Im dealing with a women who turns of the electricity and gas and has her husband steal my mail. BELIVE ME, I would not have chosen to be here. BUT now that I am, I would like to know

"DOES THE RENT BAR APPLY TO AN ILLEGAL CONVERSION REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY APARTMENTS ARE OCCUPIED?

Thanks
