I have a question did you get the summons in the mail? within a week?
If you did, as much as I disagree with it Sam is right. Just move it would
be easier. For example when I was in the process of being evicted, I actually
won but part of the process I had to go thru was to get punched in the
face (a few times) by the cops. Normally ther cops are very pro landlord. I'm sort of a radical
and i found the whole proceeding unethical, but, that was the fact of
my landlord tenant matter. I hope it works out better for you though, even if you do get evicted.

:
: Quick work, My understanding is that i must be served with the 72 hour notice personally, then I have six days untill I can be forcably evicted. Was i misinformed.t
: : We assume you mean a real 72 hour eviction notice, not a court petition. Yes, they can come and evict you. You should seek a stay or Order to Show Cause, depending on your situation. In Hell's Kitchen go tomorrow to Housing Conservation Coordinators, 777 Tenth Avenue (541-5996) and explain that it's an emergency.

: : : A warrant has been issued (I checked at the clerks office) but can he just show up when i'm out of town and toss my stuff or must he personally serve me the papers? I'm in Hells Kitchen
