: : I am relocating to another state due to a new job. Not a transfer. I must move because my present job is being phased out. Do I have any legal rights to break my lease because I have to move. have 6 months left on my lease.

: I am being relocated and have the same question?? Is there a legal way in New York City to break my lease?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I need to break my lease in Illinois. 6 months left. But conditions have declined with neighbors fighting, an decreased feeling of safety, etc. Rentors will NOT let us get out of it, despite our constant pleas, letter writings, contacting the police on neighbors, etc. Anyone know what we can do in Illinois, without spending a ton on lawyers and courts?
