Before answering this question I must ask:
1) How did you get a 6 months lease? Any verbal agreements with the landlord?
2) How many apartments are in the building? More than 6, less than 6?
3) What's the landlords reason for not renewing your lease?
4) Are you happy there?

: I have been living in my place for 10 months -- the first 6 I had a lease -- I have been without a lease since. Is there any way I can compel my landlord to give me a lease?

: If I cannot -- what rights do I have as a tenant?
