I had and inspector (fire Department)come to my apartment a supervisor, he said that the fire gate was
legal. and that the landlord does not have to put in a new gate. However i found a clause
in the law that states that a tenat can call the goverment about the violations of and
apartment and not be penalized by the landlord. what I would do if I was you is
call the government till you found someone that will issue violations to the landlord, if,
that does not work sue the lanlord in court. ( amended message of what was lost, from previous post)
