Landlord selling property

Posted by Peter on January 21, 1999 at 14:50:33:

Our landlord who lives out of town is selling the house we have rented.
His listing agent calls every day to show the house. I have been
cooperative so far because I know the landlord has a right to do this with 24 hours notice.
Now, however, he wants the listing agent to hold an open house on a Sunday
and allow any person from off the street to enter the property. I have serious
security issues about this since we live in the city and other houses around
us have been broken into. Do I have a right to refuse this? I feel as though
the landlord can throw a party in my house as long as it does not go overnight.
When does it become too much?
