I'm looking for a lawyer to represent me in a case with my landlord.
I need someone to defend me against the landlord's abuses (it's a
non-payment action (I withheld due to too little heat, rent overcharges,
lousy maintenance of apt, etc). Also, I may want to take action against
the landlord (to try to get the building into the hands of someone who
will run it properly).
It would be beneficial to get some ratings for Tenant-related Lawyers &
Law Firms in NYC. What can anybody tell me?
[Use only initials of people and firms so this site can't get slammed.]
I'm looking for someone who communicates well, knows the law and the
system. Fee Zone: ~150.00/Hr
Give us all an idea of what the whole process cost ($300? $500? $5000?)
Give them a "0" > "10" ( 0 = barely human; 10 = saved your life ).
