As much as you'd probably avoid doing so, the lesser evil of alternatives in this case would be to pay the girl and let the two of them go on their way.
I really don't think that the payment will be the end of your problems with these two though. You should probably get yourself a $25 legal consultation from the legal referral service (212)382-6625. Good Luck.
