I forgot to mention that you can sue the landlord AND the RE agency in small claims court because they should have told you that this was not a residential bldg...you can also sue for the moving bill to this " torture rack
apartment"........no hot water and heat for weeks !!!!!!! you can't lose this case... it's a no brainer !!

tell the landlord " get lost go ahead and sue me because I got a nice fat
countersuit waiting for you my friend "

I would buy as many electric heaters as you need to warm yourself to your satisfaction and deduct the electric bill from any rent..... by the way.. the official heating season began in nyc on oct 1 not oct 15 ...
