When you move out, make sure you take a lot of pix's of that apt as to the condition etc. try to get a signature of a tenant saying that all is well in there as you walk out....a signature from LL would be better but sounds like
landlord wants to keep security as do most of them throughout the USA. LL's think that they have the right to the security deposit as some form of tribute to the emperor or something......move out as planned and do not look back,,,,,,,,,
