Don't worry , bad things can come out of bad, we and the landlord now have
a reasonable landlord tenant agreement. When it started I retained a lawyer, went to housing conferences, and documented all I could, and , I won in housing court by getting my rent cut in half. By the way the police were no help, there advice was get out your and illegal sublet.
