10 day notice to evacuate premises

Posted by V james on January 09, 1999 at 00:42:46:

I am a sublessee and my subleasor, today, received a notice from the building management company that he had 10 days to get his subtenants
out of the apartment, namely me. My subleasor disagrees with this action, and we have signed a lease that is valid until Sept 1999. I have attended a board meeting where no reason was offered as to why i was being asked to leave the building I just wasnt wanted here, according to the building owner, the rest of the boardmembers either left as I was coming in or said nothing the entire time i was there. I think i need to hire a lawyer but i don't have a great deal of money to spend on one. Any suggestions?
