I was in a similar situation. I agree with the other messages, sent to you But, I agree
with you also, I did not want to be perceived as a troublemaker.however, my
landlord started to do it every day so I was forced to change the
cylinder in the lock on the top.And well, he continued to
attempt to come in my apartment. When I changed mine, it took him a while
to figure it out.Well the law I read, I'm rent stabilized is that a tenant
can change the locks if your landlord constantly knocks on your door and does
what you said he does. He has to come at a time that is convinent for you. what, I did with mine
to cam him down is I would say, you can come at a time later, I'm busy
now. In a nice tone of voice, and ask when would you like to come back when I'm
not busy. and every time he came back I said the same thing. But, of course, i
had my locks changed by then.Also what i did was I changed the top lock
and would not lock it when I left, but when I was in my apartment, I would
lock the top lock, it was scary, he tryed to enter my apartment, eveynight
without knocking for a whole month.
