if you are renting, contact the landlord NOW !!! it sounds like you are suffering from carbon monoxide poisioning !!! also call complaint number at 212 960 4800 if you live anywhere in nyc... this situation makes your apartment uninhabitable and I would not pay ANY RENT until this thing is corrected........send certified letter and regular letter to landlord advising him of this extremely dangerous condition and that you want it fixed asap and tell him that you will hold all rent until it is......
