Hi,

I had an apartment in NYC, and moved out the 31st of Dec. without giving any notice to the landlord. Now the landlord is demanding $500,
the month rent for January, as I didn't give him any notice. I didn't
have any lease with him. Am I obligated or ethics on my part to pay him?
