I think that if you have proof of ownership dating back to the time you first moved in you might have a leg to stand on.
There may be a clause in your lease that allows for a pet if it has gone
without notice over a ceratin period of time. As for your super, I wouldn't
bother to make him any more of an enemy that he seems to be already.
He could easily make your life miserable. Aside from his personality, does
he otherwise do his job? If not, are other tenants in the building willing
to state the same? Is he a union member? Good luck.
