Landlord disclosure responsibility

Posted by D V T on December 02, 1999 at 20:11:01:

I live in a small apartment house and i want to know the identity of the tenant across the hall who's lifestyle is dangerous but my landlord informed me, matter of factly, that it was a privacy matter and their identity was protected from disclosure legally. their are no leases here and no security is assumed so this explaination seems implausable.
I am in pennsylvania, NOT New York.
Also my landords fictitious name is inexplicit with no inc. or ltd or co suffixed. They are a management company using a land trust to incorporate several properties.
They do not us their offices listed name in their dealings with tenants, either which is "joeblow office services ltd.
I'm just afraid I'll get screwed just because I'm not given the information I would need to press charges in case I'm victimized by my neighbor and/or due to landlord negligence.
