Jack Newfield has an interesting column in the November 9th edition of the New York Post about a Harlem slumlord (and Mitchell-Lama owner) who is getting help from Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver and City Council Speaker Peter Valone so that he can buy back a now-valuable Harlem building from the city for just the back taxes, plus interest.
