WHY NOT START WASHING THE HALLS WITH LYSOL AND BLEACH TO COVER UP THE SMELL!!!!!
MAYBE HE'LL GET THE HINT...

ALSO WHY NOT REPORT HIM FOR THE illegal APARTMENT.....

BUT you'd better have a lease.....or he might try and evict you....

: I rent in a 2 family house(2 1/2 years). The verbal agreement with my landlord was for no smoking and no pets.He recently rented out the basement apartment(illegal dwelling). My apartment is now filled with a foul odor when ever the friends of the renter(out of town till Jan. 2000) are home. I advised my landlord and he warned the friends on the no smoking rules. I still have a foul sickening odor in my apartment. My landlord tells me "I have to catch them in the act!" What can I do? I had my landlord in the thumbs up rating until this problem.I know for a fact they burn incense to cover their other odors.I told them about the problem and they seem to ignore the situation.
