Hello,

I'm a single mother of a six year old girl living in a two family apartment
(second floor), who is being harrassed by my landlord.

The story is very long and complicated, but I have been harrassed by him
since 1/99, about petty things going on around here. I now received a letter
from him stating that he wants us out by 11/30/99, and I'm really confused
as to what to do in this situation. I thought I had six months before I had
to vacate the premises?

In short, I am not loud, have parties, have always paid my rent on time, do not
make excessive noise, and even have forgone having guests over most of the time
because of the harrassment with regard to having anyone here. He has threatned
me, screamed at myself and my daughter, talked about this to my family, friends
and neighbors (we live in a small town inside NYC if you can believe that, and
everyone knows everyone).

I hope that someone can email me and help me with this. I do not have
much time and I have no where to go.
