Relocating Due to Job, want to break lease

Posted by Todd K on September 30, 1999 at 12:50:25:

I am being relocated by my job to the mid-west. I need to break my lease in NYS.
I heard there is a law in New York that allows me to break my lease with no
penalties. It had something to due with moving more than 100 miles away.
If this is true, could someone please point out where I can obtain a copy of
this law.

Brgrds / Todd
